The 22nd Wildwood is a registered member of Outdoor Service Guides (OSG)

We are an all-volunteer organization with a mission to support scouting and guiding in an environment of mutual respect and cooperation by creating a positive learning environment, celebrating diversity in all its forms, and promoting scouting for everyone. We welcome everybody to scout with us, regardless of race, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, economic circumstances, neurodiversity, religion (or non-religion), or other differentiating factors.

History

The 22nd Wildwood was founded in 2014 as part of the Baden Powell Service Association (BPSA). We were the third BPSA group founded in Portland, joining the 55th Cascadia and 636th Mt. Tabor, and we have been active ever since.

In 2021, BPSA changed their name to Outdoor Service Guides to better reflect their mission of inclusive scouting.

About Outdoor Service Guides

Founded in 2006, OSG (formerly the Baden Powell Service Association or BPSA) is focused on teaching outdoor skills, promoting good citizenship, and creating an inclusive community where everyone feels welcome. There are currently 36 active groups spread across the United States, six of which are in the Portland Metro Area. If you'd like to learn more about our organization's history and mission, we welcome you to visit our National Website.

OSG is part of the World Federation of Independent Scouts, an international scouting organization with 140 affiliated Scout Organizations around the world. We are not affiliated with BSA or Girl Scouts, but consider them our siblings in scouting.

The 22nd Wildwood is also a member of our regional council, the Metro Service Council, which organizes local scouting activities and provides support for OSG groups in the Portland Metro area.
