Meetings & Campouts

Meetings

We generally meet on the first and third Sundays of each month, from 2 - 4 pm in the winter and from 3 - 5 pm during daylight savings time. Usually all sections meet at the same time, then break into dens/sixes/patrols for activities, but we also have all-scout meetings where all ages scout together. Our home park is Lower Macleay Park in Northwest Portland, although we sometimes meet at other locations depending on the activities planned.

Meeting activities vary by season and section. Activities we've done over the last year include canoeing, rock climbing, service projects, fire building, birdwatching, craft projects, and hiking.

Campouts

May - October, one of our monthly meetings is replaced by a campout. All scouts and their families are encouraged to attend. We also have occasional section-specific campouts and backpacking trips. The all-section campouts currently scheduled for 2024 are:

• May 17 - 19: Longbow Organizational Camp, Sweet Home, OR

• June 28 - 30: Hullabaloo, Camp Currie, Camas, WA

• July 19 - 21: Battle Ground Lake, Battle Ground, WA

• August 16 - 18: Peterson Prairie, Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Trout Lake, WA

• October 4 - 6: Zigzag Mountain Farm, Zigzag, OR
